Well, not everyone wants to paint...
Non-painting partners are, of course, very welcome and there is plenty to do. One of the things that makes Artist in Italy unique is that we live within a beautiful and natural private estate. The woods here have remained untouched since 1922 and are home to a wonderful array of wildlife.
Our non-painters are free to explore the many old tracks that crisscross the estate, all within easy walking distance of the house. Alongside the beauty of the natural surroundings, there are also tennis courts and swimming pools (in season) and the availability of mountain bikes to hire for the day.
Anyone who enjoys running or hiking will find the tracks around the estate a delight, and Mandy, who runs regularly, will be happy to go with you.
Leaving the estate, you are within an hour's drive of Siena, Arezzo, Cortona, Perugia, Montepulciano, Pienza and the stunning Val d'Orcia, recently declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
Even closer by are many delightful Tuscan and Umbrian hill-top towns, such as Chiusi, Castiglione del Lago, Panicale and Citta Della Pieve. You can also find horseback riding, wine tasting, visits to lively local markets and sleepy medieval villages or just taking in the landscape with its tapestry of vineyards, olive groves and sunflowers, spiked with rows of cypresses and umbrella pines.
As a non-painter, you will be invited to join us on any visits that might interest you.
The non-painter is offered a generous 25% discount.
